The Bird in Flight

Picture of "D Jamit" (as I now like to call him) spinning his wares at the New Belmont last Thursday. He had a lot of really cool mixes/combinations of songs/beats.... the man gotz skills.

I'm trying out a new photography technique I somewhat lifted from another photoblogger I found on the internet. He zooms his flash unit ahead of the zoom on his lens and gets vignetted portraits with the subject popped out in flash. Since my flash unit is from 1993 and don't want to spend money on a cable sync I found that closing my aperature down to f19 or 22, setting my exposure time to 1 second and then hand holding the flash and firing it right after I activate the shutter gets a similar effect.
